Admitted to hospital

Good morning... I have been moved from Emergency and admitted into hospital. this time they hope to release the bowel blockage completely with an NG Tube giving my bowels a rest.

The NG Tube is inserted through my nose and down my throat and settles at the bottom of my stomach. It suctions all the bile, water etc from my stomach, in turn giving my bowels a rest. Instead of churning and contracting to get contents from my stomach to the intestines, the tube does it for me and deflates the bowel, hence giving it a rest.

Right now, they believe the issue is a constriction in the middle of my small intestine. Apparently this is not unusual for anyone having undergone abdominal or bowel surgery. Sometimes symptoms don't occur for years. In my case, it occurred 5 months after surgery.
Should the bowel rest not repair the intestine , the surgeon has mentioned transferring me to RCH for surgery. But we haven't come to that yet.

Thank you for all your love, prayers and good wishes. I am praying that this will resolve itself soon. I'm hungry and tired - but for the most part still in good spirits.

Have a good week everyone!

Love Angela
